A widely used self-report measure of anxiety symptom severity developed to discriminate anxiety from depression. Items assess somatic and cognitive anxiety symptoms over the past week. Its somatic emphasis makes it particularly sensitive to panic disorder and generalist anxiety. Developed alongside the BDI as complementary depression and anxiety measures.
