Three items assess the likelihood and resolve with which a consumer intends to purchase a particular company's products in the near future. The items cover probability of buying ('very likely'), a firmer future intention ('will purchase...the next time'), and a trial intention ('will definitely try'). The scale was developed in the context of studying consumer responses to a company's reshoring strategy, measuring how such decisions affect willingness to engage with the company's products.

Developed by Grappi, Romani, and Bagozzi (2015), drawing some inspiration from Dodds, Monroe, and Grewal (1991). The response scale was not stated by the authors; a seven-point Likert-type format is inferred from the broader study context, with Italian-language anchors used in the original data collection. Alphas and AVE indicate excellent internal consistency and convergent validity. The scale was used in Study 1 (a convenience quota sample in Italy, n = 263); cross-cultural validity should be verified before deployment in other national contexts. Item 1 ('very likely') and item 3 ('definitely') use certainty qualifiers within the item wording, which may implicitly shift scale means; researchers should note this when combining the three into a composite.
