The student adaptation of the Maslach Burnout Inventory measuring academic burnout — a state of exhaustion, cynicism toward studies, and reduced feelings of academic competence. Student burnout has significant consequences for academic performance, dropout intention, and mental health. Developed as the student equivalent of the MBI-GS for occupational burnout.
