A four-item semantic differential scale measuring how a person feels emotionally about their current financial situation. Captures affective states ranging from discomfort and stress to happiness and positive evaluation. Used as a manipulation check for financial status in decision-making research.

Referred to as 'financial status' by the authors. Used to verify a financial-status manipulation in Study 8. Participants were asked to rate their feelings about their financial status. Exceptionally high alpha (.98) may reflect item redundancy given the breadth of affect captured.
