This scale measures how much a person believes that emotions generally last a long time versus fade quickly. Faraji-Rad and Lee (2022) used it in two MTurk studies on 'banking happiness,' borrowing the scale from Labroo and Mukhopadhyay's (2009) work on lay theories of emotion transience.

The scale's alpha was .94 in Study 1 (Faraji-Rad and Lee 2022, p. 340); reliability was not reported for Study 2. Validity was not separately discussed. The scale was used as published (not adapted) from Labroo and Mukhopadhyay (2009); the reliability reported here comes from the focal paper's own administration.
