Scales for measuring personality traits and affective states. The domain includes the Big Five Inventory and Ten-Item Personality Inventory, Rotter's Locus of Control Scale, the Self-Monitoring Scale, Multidimensional Perfectionism, Sensation Seeking (Form V), the Grit Scale and dark triad and narcissism measures. Affective measures include the PAD Emotional State Scale and a consumer version of the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, together with measures of mood, arousal and valence. Self-presentation, impression management and self-esteem scales round out the domain. These instruments are commonly used as individual-difference controls and moderators in consumer and tourism research.
