Four brief unipolar items assess how acceptable, fitting, and proper a particular object or behaviour is perceived to be. Li, Chan, and Kim (2019) used the scale in Study 3 with 509 MTurk participants to evaluate the appropriateness of a service employee using emoticons in chat messages. The source of the scale was not identified. The items are sufficiently general to be applied across a broad range of contexts.
7-point unipolar (1=not at all, 7=very much)
Full scale items shown. Always cite the original source when using this scale in research.
The stem or question preceding the items should be constructed to direct attention to the specific object or behaviour being evaluated. No validity information was reported.
