An adaptation of the PANAS for children and adolescents (ages 9–18), developed to assess positive and negative affect with age-appropriate language. Validated across primary and secondary school age groups. Widely used in developmental psychopathology research and child/adolescent intervention trials.

Freely available. Separate PA and NA subscale scores. Specify time frame before administering (right now / today / this week / in general). Demonstrates same two-factor structure as adult PANAS but with developmentally appropriate mood terms. Validated from age 9.
