Price Format Comprehension

PFCPerceived Ease of Understanding a Price Format
5 items 2016 α .89–.92 Free Wieseke, J., Kolberg, A., & Schons, L.M.

What it measures

Measures how easy, clear, and convenient a consumer finds a particular price format to understand and use. Five bipolar adjective pairs evaluate the format across dimensions of cognitive complexity, practicality, comfort, comprehensibility, and general convenience. Created because no established measure was available in the literature. Used across multiple studies investigating the convenience effect of round versus non-round price endings. AVEs across administrations ranged from .62 to .70, with factorial structure and discriminant validity confirmed analytically.
