This three-item scale measures how likely a consumer is to buy a particular product, including actively looking for it in a store and buying it when needed in the future. Jha, Balaji, and Peck (2023) used it with U.S. MTurk participants in research on how showing a hand holding a product in digital media conveys the product's weight. The scale was adapted from a measure developed by Biswas, Bhowmick, Guha, and Grewal (2013).
7-point scale (1 = very unlikely, 7 = very likely)

Alpha was .95 (Study 3, n = 566) (Jha, Balaji, and Peck 2023, p. 367); validity was not discussed. The blanks are filled with the name of the focal product (e.g., mobile phone). Named with a qualifier to distinguish it from Purchase Likelihood (ID 891); see also Purchase Likelihood at Current Price (ID 834), Purchase Likelihood from Online Retailer (ID 835), and Purchase Intention (Product Shown) (this batch).
