Melumad and Pham (2020) used this scale with University of Pennsylvania students; item development traces to personal correspondence with Melumad (2021) rather than a separate published source. Reliability was good (α = .84). Validity wasn't separately assessed. Item wording requires naming the two specific phones being compared — the original study used 'your personal device' and 'the lab's device.'
