Tezer and Bodur (2020) adapted this scale from Grant and Gino's (2010) established measure of social worth, using it across three studies. Reliability was consistently excellent (α = .91–.95). Factor analyses in two of the three studies supported unidimensionality, and discriminant validity was demonstrated relative to enjoyment and warm glow in both. Item wording requires naming the specific product used — the original study focused on products made from recycled materials.
