What it measures

Measures the degree to which a consumer has formed an emotional and sentimental bond with a specific product. Combines three items from Sivadas and Machleit (1994) with one item from Schultz (1989). Captures the affective and memory-based dimensions of product attachment. Used by Winterich, Reczek, and Irwin (2017) to examine the role of memory preservation in reducing identity loss during product disposition.
