Usage notes & scoring

The alpha was .92 (Kovacheva, Nikolova, and Lamberton 2022, p. 674). Support was found for discriminant validity with respect to several other scales used in the study (p. 674; Web Appendix, p. 9). The source of the scale was not stated and may have been created by the lead author in her dissertation research. The items appear usable for other foods or beverages, e.g., "I want to try a beer I haven't had before."
