Three four-point items assess the likelihood that an adolescent will smoke in the future across three time frames: a proximal social situation (if offered a cigarette by a friend), the coming year, and five years from now. The scale was developed to measure anti-smoking campaign effectiveness and is designed for use with adolescent populations.
