What it measures

A three-item scale measuring a consumer's belief in their personal capacity to make a meaningful environmental difference through recycling and their confidence in knowing how to do it effectively. Items capture the impact dimension (belief that individual recycling matters), procedural knowledge (knowing how to recycle), and behavioural intention confidence (knowing what steps to take). The scale combines response efficacy (does recycling help?) with self-efficacy (can I do it?) in a brief, practical measure suited to environmental behaviour research.
