This scale, referred to by the authors as "savor the purchase," measures the degree to which a consumer searched for information about a purchased product so as to feel good about it for as long as possible. Pizzutti, Gonçalves, and Ferreira (2022) used it across two waves of data collection: Wave 1 (n = 359) surveyed consumers shortly after a planned purchase, and those who had since consumed the product were resurveyed in Wave 2 (n = 190). The authors drew ideas and some phrasing for the items from two scales by Wood, Heimpel, and Michela (2003).

Alpha was .93 in both Wave 1 and Wave 2 (Pizzutti, Gonçalves, and Ferreira 2022, p. 1002). PLS-SEM supported convergent and discriminant validity (p. 994); AVEs were .87 and .88 in Waves 1 and 2, respectively (p. 1002). Companion post-purchase information search scales from the same study, covering curiosity and product use, are also in the database.
