Usage notes & scoring

Alpha was .93 (Rifkin, Du, and Cutright 2023, p. 604); validity was not discussed. The authors referred to the construct as "interest in the celebrity," but since none of the items specifically state that the person is well known, the scale could be used with performers who have not yet achieved celebrity status. A companion scale from the same research program, Interest in Watching the Performance, is also in the database.
