Perceived Charitability

PCPerception that an individual or organisation is generous, helpful, and beneficial as a result of a donation
5 items 2018 α .86–.93 (varied by study) Free Gershon, R., & Cryder, C.

What it measures

Five items capture how favourably a person views an entity — individual or organisation — in terms of generosity, helpfulness, and positive societal impact as a result of a donation. Gershon and Cryder (2018) referred to this as 'charitable credit' and used it across many studies. Items were drawn from existing measures by Lin-Healy and Small (2012) and Newman and Cain (2014). Factor analyses across several studies confirmed the items loaded together independently of items from other constructs.
