3 items 2016 α .913 Free Habel, J., Schons, L.M., Alavi, S., & Wieseke, J.

What it measures

Three semantic differential items assessing consumers' general perception of whether a company's products offer fair value for their prices. Habel et al. (2016) used the scale in Study 2 within a large-scale online survey of retail customers, examining how CSR activities shape perceived price fairness. Each item is introduced with the stem 'Products of _____ ...' and rated on a bipolar scale from negative to positive. The company name should be inserted in the blank.

Response format

Usage notes & scoring

Alpha was .913. Each item uses a 7-point semantic differential with negative anchors on the left and positive on the right. The scale is conceptually related to Sweeney and Soutar (2001) but the items were created by Habel et al. to specifically assess price-value perceptions rather than broader consumer value. The blank should be replaced with the company name.
