Sheehan and Dommer (2020) described this scale as adapted from prior research, though on inspection one cited source (Holbrook & Hirschman 1982) is conceptual with no actual scale, complicating the sourcing claim. Reliability ranged from good to excellent (α = .83–.93) across four studies. It was used successfully as a manipulation check in two studies, offering some indirect support for validity.
