Usage notes & scoring

Reliability was strong (α = .93; Xu, Mehta, and Dahl 2022, web appendix, p. 16). The authors adapted items from an earlier scale on constrained creative experiences (Dahl and Moreau 2007), which is already in this database under the identical title "Creative Task Competence" (ID 1490); this entry is retained under a disambiguated title since it is a distinct, later adaptation rather than the same instrument. Exact item wording was not printed verbatim in the source material and has been reconstructed here based on the web appendix's description.
